What personal data we collect

We collect and use your personal data for different purposes depending on who you are and how we get in touch with you. You provide our company directly with most of the information we collect. We collect the following personal data for the purposes set out here:

Information you willingly provide

We receive your personal data when you contact us through email, the website's contact form, or through other inquiries. Such personal data may include your name, telephone number, e-mail address, the company you represent and any personal data that may result from the inquiry. We process this information on the basis of a balancing of interests, where we consider the processing necessary for us to help you with your query and for purposes related to legitimate interests.

We draw your attention to the fact that inquiries you send directly via e-mail are not sent encrypted. We therefore urge you not to send confidential, sensitive or other confidential information via e-mail.

When you contact us as a current or possible future customer, customer contact person or supplier to Compass Group, we process the information you willingly provide on the basis of a balancing of interests, where we consider the processing necessary for the commercial purposes of Compass Group.

On our website we have a job portal, where you can subscribe to vacancies and register as a job seeker. The job portal is provided by TeamTailor, which is responsible for the processing of your data. When you register, subscribe and apply for positions, personal data will be collected. The personal data collected will include e-mail address, name, gender, year of birth, telephone number, home address, whether you have a work and residence permit in Norway, language skills, whether you have a driving license, and other personal data. Processing of personal data takes place on the basis of the consent you have given. Information that we collect automatically

We use cookies or similar technology to automatically collect information when you visit our websites, including personal data. Cookies are text files that are placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. This is done with your consent to the use of cookies.

We only store and process personal data in the EU/EEA area and in third countries in accordance with the EU Standard Transfer Agreement and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

What are your data protection rights?

Our company would like to make sure that you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user has the right to access, rectification, erasure, data minimization, to object to processing and data portability.

Privacy policy for our social media pages

When you visit our social media pages, the operator of the platform and we may process your personal data. We would like to inform you about how we handle your data in line with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We at Compass Group Norway have profiles and pages on the following social media platforms:

In addition to our processing, the operator of the social media platform itself also processes personal data. We have limited control over the data processing carried out by the social media platform operators. We make efforts to ensure that the data processing complies with data protection legislation. Our data processing

The data you post on our social media pages, such as comments, videos, photos, likes, public messages, etc. are processed by the social media platform and are at no time used or processed by us for other purposes. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The data processing is carried out for the purpose of our public contact and communication. We may delete content if necessary and we may share the content on our website and communicate with you through the platform.

If you send us a request through social media, we will refer you to more secure communication methods as appropriate. The choice of communication channel is your responsibility.

As already mentioned, where the operator of the social media platform gives us the opportunity, we ensure that our social media pages are designed to comply with data protection legislation as far as possible.

With regard to statistics provided to us by the operator of the social media platform, we have only limited influence over the generation of the statistics and cannot disable them. However, we make sure that we do not receive any additional optional statistics

We use anonymous audience definitions provided by the platform operators for advertising purposes. You can revoke your consent to such advertising through the Platform's options. Sometimes we use information about visits to other websites (remarketing) for audience definition. We obtain consent from users in advance and inform them about the data processing. You can revoke your consent within our cookie policy. We do not use target group definition based on location data. We never pass on personal data to the operator of the social media platform during targeting.

Duration of data storage

We delete your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the aforementioned processing purposes and no legal obligations remain. The operator of the platform may have other retention periods. We therefore advise you to consult their privacy policy before interacting with our social media page

Data processing by the social media platform operator

The platform operator may use web tracking methods regardless of whether you have an account on the social media platform or not. We have limited influence over these methods and do not disable them. Please note that platform operators may use your profile and behavioral data for analytics purposes beyond our control

Changes to our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is updated regularly and reflects current practices and services. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If there are material changes to the way we collect, use and share personal information, we will prominently post them on the website.
