At Grefsenlia, we offer specialized health services in a calm and safe environment. Here, professional expertise, care and quality are combined to provide patients and relatives with a holistic service.
The geriatric psychiatric ward has 16 inpatient beds for patients who need specialist treatment. The department for Huntington's disease, established in 2012, has 10 inpatient beds, its own day center and an interdisciplinary team with a doctor, physiotherapist, speech therapist and psychiatrist. There is also a regional resource center that helps to strengthen expertise in municipalities in Eastern Norway.
In addition, we offer Mestringstiltaket, a 24-hour staffed housing cooperation established in 2016. This consists of 12 apartments for adults with mental disorders, and focuses on individual follow-up, activities and a recovery philosophy. Emphasis is placed on coping in everyday life and support to build a safe and independent life situation.
